nepantla mentorship
Individually tailored, apprenticeship-model
Those who are called to serve as nepantlerxs, intermediary guides who walk between worlds and serve as bridges between states of consciousness, traditionally prepare for this work through a lifetime of commitment to a way of life. They may have one or many teachers on the journey, who provide personalized mentorship.
In contrast, contemporary facilitator training in the so-called “psychedelic renaissance” is fast-paced, brief, and one-size-fits-all. Such trainings can provide fundamental building blocks, but are no substitute for ongoing, apprenticeship-style practice and support.
If you are called to deepen your facilitation work through one-on-one mentorship, experiential intensives, teachings from lineage carriers, a community of practice and peer support, please join us for the upcoming Threshold Medicine Practice Cycle.
The program consists of three independent 3-month Cycles over a nine-month period. Each 3-month Cycle is distinct and builds on the previous. The themes of each cycle are grounded in decolonial praxis through engaged relationship with seasonal themes and embedded with teachings that correspond to working with liminal states and spaces.
The Threshold Medicine Nepantla Mentorship consists of:
Biweekly one-on-one sessions for tailored consultation, spiritual care resources, technical guidance and feedback, and supportive reflection
Optional in-person intensives, co-created to meet the needs of the practitioner (i.e. facilitated experiential as participant, co-facilitator, and/or assistant)
Community of practice peer support container
Small group learning and consultation with lineage carriers
Resource library
Mentorship is most suitable for those who already have experience working with clients, providing care work, accompanying people in vulnerable or non-ordinary states, and/or experience with ceremonial practices. The orientation of our work together is abolitionist, rooted in healing justice and harm reduction, and process independent from the medical industrial complex and state regulatory models.
